Introduction
Phonobark is a project ive been working on to learn Zig, but after getting the proof of concept done a few friends told me I should write a blog on my dev process!
What is Phonobark
My plan for Phonobark is a fast, small and portable synthesizer with an elegant and user friendy GUI for those who want to get into audio synthesis without paying anything, or people who just need a small synth without the overhead of installing some professional grade software.
What is Phonobark so far
So far, Phonobark is nothing impressive, just ~70 lines of idiomatic zig code that renders a sine wave to the screen and plays it, and lets you change the frequency with your arrow keys, but I layed it out in a way to make it a good base for my aspirations.
What I do know is that Phonobark only uses external library, Raylib, and I plan to keep it that way (raygui doesnt count).
What I will be posting on this blog
I will of course be posting my design process and implementation, but also my experience with Zig coming from a C environment (so far i love it!).
